First Garment
First garment I've been working on is finished! and he first hand-in is on monday!
I have knitted this raglan sleeve style jumper on a Dubied knitting machine (5g.)
The jumper is knitted to shape to minimize the waste in the production. that means I had
to transfer A LOT of stitches by hand! but I am very happy with the result:)
yarn: Drops lace, alpaca/silk

Hand knit project for uni
last term at uni we did a hand knit project inspired by 'the war years'. So we looked at the 1920s 1930s and the 1940s.
Using rowan yarns: Felted Tweed and Rowan Finest. I choose those 2 yarns because at time of war, yarn wasn't always available or affordable. felted tweed looks like it has been knitted, worn, washed before : unraveling and re-knitting
my designs are a combination of the two: 'old and new' yarn in one garment. linking and connecting with cables
andddd
I got selected for the rowan design award 2015 by Marie Wallin!:)

hand knitted cowl with recycled fur
I found some old mink scarfs in my great-aunts
So I thought of a way to recycle the scarfs and make the fur more wearable. Better use them then to leave them in a closet!
The cowl is a combination of vintage mink fur with hand knitted wool. you can wear it with the fur on the inside or the out side.
| closet! you know the scary ones with head and paws. You can't really wear those anymore! | ||
